A Prairie Home Compendium:
(A Prairie Home Page)

DEBUGGING

Hello Love

This is a fan site for A Prairie Home Companion (as well as it's other incarnation; The American Radio Company of the Air). We have no direct/official affiliation with the show, Minnesota Public Radio or any other broadcast/copyright holder. We are simply fans, many of whom remember the show fondly, and also have collections of recordings about which we would like to share information. If you ARE someone who does represent the show in some official capacity, and you see anything on this site that you believe should not be here please let us know.

If you are a fellow collector of these old shows you may find this to be a handy site in order to help figure out just where some of your favorite moments are in your old box of cassettes. You are welcome to freely access the data that is currently availble by using the menu buttons to the left. If you would like to become a member/editor here, please email directly to (j o e (at) crea m city re (dot) com) (remove the spaces, etc. --just our low-tech anti-spam strategy). It would help if you'd put [PHC SITE] in the subject line so it will be seen right away. Include the username and password you'd like to use and you'll receive a reply when the login is set up for you.

This website is currently undergoing a complete redesign and some intended features are not yet in place.

Cutting to the chase: There are waaaay too many tapes in the Compendium archive and it's time to share them. We do NOT "sell" copyrighted material however, reimbursement for postage and $1 for the cost of the raw tape would be appreciated (you will receive the originals, not newly made copies). If you are looking for a specific date, we will see if it's in the collection, otherwise we'll be happy to send you a random selection. Contact/mailing info will be shared by email.

"Free" tapes will be made available to anyone willing to commit to listening to/cataloging the show rundowns on this site, or furnishing me with their rundown in any digital form.

Obtaining complete shows from the earliest years (1970's, 1980's, 1990's) is still a goal and the Compendium will trade for any that are not in the collection.
